“I’d like to say thanks to the friendly and professional staff at ProCare Physical Therapy. I turned to them after a recent knee surgery and I was back up and running, literally, just a couple of months later. My surgery was an unexpected interruption to my active lifestyle, and getting back to normal quickly and painlessly was a goal that ProCare understood and helped me meet with a very precise program of strengthening exercises and stretching. I returned to jogging on roads and hiking on trails just two months after surgery. I would be happy to recommend ProCare, not just for athletes but anyone looking for an amazing group of therapists and a thorough recovery plan.”

“My experience at ProCare was great. The people are outstanding – everyone from the receptionist to the therapists. I would never go anywhere else and would highly recommend ProCare to everyone I know.”
-Patricia P.
“I had head, neck and scapular pain for approximately 4 years, with worsening headaches. I have had physiotherapy in Australia, acupuncture in China, numerous massage therapies in China and USA, Chiropractic care and many visits to doctors. My life is back on track because of the attention I received at ProCare. From day one I noticed a difference. Before attending ProCare I thought I was going to have to live with the pain, but now I have my life back.”
-Beth C.
“I find (the associates of ProCare) to be knowledgeable and professional. I had great results from my first round of surgery and am looking forward to resuming after my second round of repair. I am confident that I can reach my goals, and that ProCare will help me get there.”

The skill level of the ProCare physical therapist’s is second to none in meeting each patient’s needs. The staff is very thorough in communication, from listening to the client and providing explanations and feedback.”

“I know you work full time helping many people but if ever there was someone who I really believed could help me, as if I were special, go form sub-zero to fit, it is you. I’ve only known two people in my entire life who are as qualified, and as thoughtful in their expertise as you. You are unusual. People like me, who so need people like you, who heal us, who help us, pivotally, really don’t frown on how far back we start from. You just start us there, and carefully, lovingly move us forward. I am so grateful for you David. Thank you so much.”

“In July 2011 I had surgery on my left hand to remove the joint at the base of my thumb and ligament reconstruction. I went to Cindy Baer for hand therapy and regained full use of my hand. I then had the same procedure on my right hand in December of 2015. I was given the choice to go to a physical therapist much closer to home, but I chose to go back to Cindy Baer in Portsmouth. My recovery has been very successful. I know I made the right decision to go back to Cindy.”
-Verna B.
“The ProCare staff has been helping me with a long-term issue in a knowledgeable, friendly and professional manner. Working with Cynthia and Ryan, I feel supported and motivated to get better. They collaborate well together, explain what they are doing thoroughly, and work with me in a way that shows expertise and compassion.”

“I was referred to ProCare Physical Therapy following hip replacement surgery. The Good Hands People really tells all. ProCare is a team of competent, caring and concerned professionals who go to work and get the job done. The process and goals are explained and the work begins. I am enormously grateful and feel so fortunate that we have this level of excellence right here in Portsmouth. Thank you from a grateful graduate!

“I was totally satisfied with my hand therapy. Every visit showed that the goals Cindy set for me were exceeded. My impression of ProCare is excellent. I would recommend them to any of my friends. I found the staff to be very knowledgable and caring. Cindy even helped me to make my appointment to revisit the doctor. Very impressive!”

“My wife has been the recipient of extraordinarily kind and effective care at your office over the last several months after her hip operation by Dr. Sastry in November 2015. I would point out, especially, the services of David Goldberg and Annie Hodgdon. Both of them, as seen from our two distinct vantage points (mine as the concerned husband), were little less than angels dressed up in ProCare uniforms. They regularly alleviated the miserable pain and discouragement of my wife, and gave her hope for a better life. Such professionals – hardly expected anywhere at such a level of excellence – were all we could have asked for in skill, dedication, and a contagiously positive outlook. And all of the members of your office were wonderfully professional, courteous and helpful. My wife and I are most grateful. We wish them the best in their continuing careers!”

“I know the staff at ProCare work full time helping many people, but if there was someone who I really believed could help me as if I were special go from sub-zero to fit, it is David at ProCare. People like me, who are so very far from normal, need people like David to heal us, help us, and not frown on how far back we start in our journey. ProCare just starts you at that point and carefully, lovingly moves you forward. I am so grateful for David and thank him so much! If I were wealthy, I’d do anything I could to make him my life coach!”

“I started hand therapy in March 2006 with Cindy Lavigne. I have continued therapy both before and after nine hand surgeries. She is a very caring, knowlegeable and experienced therapist. She has meticulously crafted many splints for me and always makes sure they fit comfortably. It is convenient having my hand doctor in the same building as my hand surgeon so she can consult with him; she has even accompanied me to several appointments with my surgeon and gone to my surgeries to offer support and better understand how to proceed with my therapy. Cindy definitely goes above and beyond what is expected and is always there to answer questions by email. I had my tenth hand surgery in the summer of 2016 and returned to ProCare. I would not even consider going somewhere else!”

“This letter of gratitude is long overdue. But when it comes to giving thanks late always beats never. (Anyway, that’s what I tell myself.)
I so appreciated the physical therapy I received last summer. It began with Hilary, shifted to Ryan. David was my primary therapist with a strong assist from Annie. What excellent care I received from each of you.
In my experience we are living through a time in our culture when, for a variety of reasons — some related to the politics of these times — we tend not to thank one another enough, nor do it all that well. I want to change that for myself, hence this letter.
In the course of my therapy I found a good deal of time — like during counting to thirty during one exercise of another — to reflect on the work you do. I came to realize that it is challenging in one particular way (likely more). That is, that at least some of the patients you see must have be or have the potential to be particularly distressing, say for example when circumstance like severe accidents bring patients to you.
This requires, I take it an ability to be caring and professional and in a way at the same time to somewhat abstract yourself. At such times, it surely makes all the difference to have a sense of humor to help negotiate hard ones. This is my working hypothesis; I expect I’m right. You all seem to have that ability to blend the personal with the professional. Nice.
What I witnessed during the course of physical therapy was, it seemed to me, an unusual mixture of professionalism, high levels of expertise, and the ability to laugh and help those you are serving perhaps not take themselves (ourselves) too seriously. All of which, I believe, helps speed recovery. Anyway, that’s my notion and I’m sticking to it.
My other observation is that everybody on the team appeared to respect one another, so that even though each of you works on patients one at a time, there was still a sense that it was all part of a larger “dance” in which you function as part of a team while engaging your particular areas of expertise. That kind of blending of the individual with the group I think is actually fairly rare in most employment situations these days. Nice.
Thank you, especially to David and Annie for all you did for me. Know that in any situation where physical therapy comes up, I am always quick to recommend ProCare enthusiastically.
With a sense of deep appreciation, I am a thankful ex-patient.”
-Rev. Dr. David Phreaner
